- Scholarships for students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, easing the burden of tuition and encouraging academic excellence

- Distribution of laptops and learning materials to students and schools, bridging the digital divide and promoting 21st-century learning

- Support for teachers and school infrastructure, ensuring a more conducive environment for both learning and teaching

- Proposed Skill Acquisition Centre (SACs) and the upcoming Youth Centre Office, designed to equip young people with practical skills for the future

In his World Education Day message, Mayor Okafor emphasized that “education is the seed of every sustainable society. When we invest in learning, we invest in peace, innovation, and prosperity.”

He called on stakeholders—parents, educators, private sector partners, and community leaders—to continue working together to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education for every child in Awka-South.
